Matthew is the founder and president of Ethos Private Wealth.  He has been involved in the financial services industry through a range of entrepreneurial capital market ventures and Wall Street for over 25 years. He brings clients a unique perspective from hands on experiences in finance, asset management, private equity, investment banking and M&A. His experience extends in a spectrum of areas in working with families directly in providing guidance to build, grow and transition wealth. 

Prior to founding Ethos, Matthew served for more than a dozen years in leadership and executive roles at a Wall Street firm and Private Bank.  Matthew was a founding member of an SEC Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) that helped successful wirehouse advisors to start their own business and rapidly grew to in excess of $1 billion of assets under management. However, his passion is working directly with clients, and making a difference.  Ethos was formed  from the requests and encouragement of his clients, a select group of successful families.  Early in his career during the 1990’s, Matthew worked in mainland China where he matched U.S. companies to Chinese companies in joint ventures in a variety of industries. He also built and sold a global cycle sports business in the 1990s that he built from a small idea.

Through this range of both boutique and mega-broker experience, Matthew has never been happier with his decision to start Ethos.  He manages all aspects of the business, and directly services his clients with an approach using both art and science. He is a fully registered professional and maintains his FINRA Series 7, 66, 9, 10, 23, (24 equivalent), 31, Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation and is a graduate of Lehigh University at the Lee Iacocca School of Business and Economics.

On a personal note, Matthew is always up for a challenge.  He's been know to build all sorts of things over the years... that's what he does.  He is a builder both literally and figuratively. He is a former competitive triathlete and knows what it takes to go the extra mile in life.  Matthew is a published author of children's books, is always up for book reading and loves giving back to his community.  Matthew has lived in Miami, FL for nearly 20 years with his Brazilian wife and two children; the younger in high school in Coral Gables and the older served the US Army, has remained in the National Guard and lives in Columbus, GA.
